Fresh tuna for dinner on São Nicolau
23 January 2013
21st of January. There is almost no wind in the bay of São Nicolau. A good day for some painting here and there while the guests are off for a tour in a 4 x 4 around the island. On the local market the chef scored a tuna of 10kg, fresher then this is not possible. When everyone is back on board again that afternoon there is enough time for a ‘swing and swim’. Swinging with a rope from the ra and then trying to land elegantly in the water. At sundown the tuna is ready for dinner and so are we!
22nd of January. At 6 pm we heave anchor. We have a long way to for Boa Vista. The sea is rougher then we have had so far during this voyage, but the sun makes it a lot better. Clause hauled we sail to the bay of Boa Vista where we drop the anchor around 9 am. It was a quiet night as everyone went to bed early.
