The wind makes us work

After 2 days of great sailing with an easterly wind between 3 and 5 Bft, last night the wind dropped a bit. The weather is very nice, but after the good days of nice sailing wind, we have to get used to a speed of only 3 knots. We take away some sail, due to flapping, and after some hours the wind increases a bit and we set sail again. The wind stays a bit uncertain, so that keeps us very busy. Everyone is getting used to the rhythm now. We have decided to all do watches of 6 hours, and therefore we have two teams of 7 (wo)men. We all take our turns in steering, sail handling, doing maintenance and before we know, our watch is finished again. We really look forward to what the upcoming days will bring us…
