Auckland, our turning point

Auckland is an important milestone in our circumnavigation, from now on we are on the way back. We are preparing the ship for the big voyage over the southern ocean. The ship is fine, so it’s just a matter of maintenance, painting, cleaning, and a lot of storing. It is a huge amount of stores, all that 30 people need on a voyage of 50 days. We have done it before and we know that everything will find a place in the ship.
Today (Monday) is the Parade, the official parade out of all the tall ships. The three Dutch ships will return to Auckland for a while afterwards; we expect to leave on Thursday morning.
