“She goes, no matter how we feel about it. Even though her love for rock and roll sometimes gets a bit under the skin of the people living in the galley and those who try to sleep, it is impossible to not love the ‘Oosterschelde’. She’s got it all.
Today, lazy Sunday, we saw a movie about the ship ‘Peking’ rounding Cape Horn. With fresh popcorn on the left and a can of soda in the right hand we were far more comfortable than the sailors on the screen. Today it really feels like a Sunday should. Everybody is calm and relaxed, conditions are good and we are doing about 8 knots. With 17 degrees outside and 22 smiles on board we are heading towards summer; that is one certainty.”
