Gaff in the mast

Today we lifted the last gaff that was still on the quayside. The ‘Oosterschelde’ looks finished. Up close you can see this is not really the case yet. There is still a lot of work to be done before we go back to sea coming Thursday. The structural jobs are finished, but what is left is cleaning, painting, securing and sea fastening etc. We could use ten more days to get it just the way we want, but we are out of time. The rest is to be done during sailing. Tomorrow is our last day and after that our season starts again.
