The past few days it was -for the first time in a long time- a bit wet. Heavy clouds hung above us, it was humid and at night there were heavy showers.
But today the weather cleared. And when the sun shines it is immediately warm. We are with a big team and we try to tackle as much chores as possible. Much time is spent in removing rust in all kinds of difficult spots. In corners, behind railing struts or under the gunwale. It’s work that we don’t get to while we are sailing.
We also tightened the standing rigging, we are varnishing the masts, cleaning fans and so on. In short we are taking care of the old lady and she starts looking better and better.
