Easy crossing

Once we were on our way, the weather got better. The clouds disappeared and the sand in the air decreased, so we could see the volcano of Fogo very clearly from about 100 kilometers distance. The vulcano is active and erupted this spring, but we did not see any smoke today.
Despite the reefed sails, we went pretty fast. Big blue waves with white foam rolled under us without slowing the ship down. The ship almost steered herself and within 24 hours we reached Mindelo.
After lunch, we will take our guests on an excursion of the city, but first we have to get our clearance.
