Cannonball speed

Captain Bernt writes:
“It is very unusual, I had been on board in Scotland for 24 hours and I had not seen rain yet. But today that changed. With cannonball speed we sail between the production platforms. In the last 30 hours we covered 221 miles. We started yesterday closehauled in light winds. Now the wind has increased to 4-5 Bft and we are reaching at least 9 knots speed. Unfortunately some people are seasick but the prospect of land beneath their feet tomorrow afternoon makes people revive. The plan is to visit Helgoland for a few hours and depending on wind and tide going to Brunsbüttel, the lock to the Nord-Ostsee Kanal, the Kiel Canal.”
