We are floating again

We are floating again. We have been in the dry dock for over 5 weeks and at the top (or low) of all the work there was a gap of six by eight meters in the ship. Fortunately everything is beautifully restored and it is a good feeling that the worst part of the ship is renewed and is ready for decades to come. We still have a lot of chores to do and everything is dirty and black from all the ironwork, but it feels good that this phase has been completed.
A little background info: the work is done at the shipyard of Jelle Talsma who hired the dry dock from shipyard Welgelegen. Jelle worked in 1990 with Dick van Andel in Leeuwarden on the ironwork during the restoration, on the yard of Gerard Kroes!
