25 Feb No stress
No stress
25 February 2016
After a quiet night in the bay at Le Marin we departed, we wanted to do it sailing again, but a yacht was in our way so we had to start the engine for a little bit. As soon as the yacht was gone we switched the engine off and sailed out.
Once outside more sails where set and a few whales swam by (we decided it were Pygmy sperm whales, but it actually couldn’t be because they were very big… but if I now go through our books it might also have been regular Sperm whales). Later also two dolphins briefly paid us a visit and we are followed all day by a group of at least 15 brown boobies.
Just before dark we arrived at our destination: the Pitons of St. Lucia. We manoeuvred backwards toward the quay with our anchor dropped and ‘our’ boat boy Gregory brought a line to shore. Mediterranean parking on the other side of the ocean.
This morning we had a small problem: our guide had mixed up the days and he was not available. So we quickly made other arrangements and now everyone is on the road with a different guide for a tour on the island. No stress, life goes on!
The shopping is going great too. We went to the market for fruit and fish and we found nothing. Half an hour later the fruit guy came passing by in his boat with fresh mango, papaya, bananas, etc. and not much later another one came along to ask us if we wanted to have fish! No stress, life goes on.
