28 Feb Tobago Cays
Tobago Cays
28 February 2016
And yes we can definitely say that Saint Vincent is a beautiful island, it had a great vibe. When everyone came back on board at the end of the afternoon we all went to the beach. We arranged a bar with rum punch and a steel drum band was playing.
For the next day Bequia was on the schedule, but reading through the pilots we concluded it would be much better to sail a bit further to Tobago Cays. The only problem was that we did not have charts for this area and on Saturday afternoon we couldn’t find any in Kingstown. A pity.
But during our steel-drum-band-rum-punch-sunset-party we met a few Dutch people who had been sailing for years in the area and they offered to lend us the charts. Great! Thank you, crew of the ‘Samanta’!
This morning early we left and sailed southeast. During breakfast we set the sails for a beautiful morning sail. We just dropped anchor in a beautiful spot full of coral reefs! We will spend the afternoon snorkeling and tonight we will set up the bbq on the beach for another great night. Then it is time for the big crossing to the ABC-islands.
