On our way to Bonaire
2 March 2016
Due to the weak wind our speed was a bit low, so we decided to change our course a bit. We did not want to change it too much so yesterday we jibed. After night of almost no wind jibed again this morning and steered a bit higher than our goal. Now the wind has increased like expected and we have a great speed. We are still a bit behind on schedule but there will be more wind so we are confident we will get back on schedule.
Yesterday we told the stories behind the constellations that we see. This morning we played with the sextant, later we had a class about meteorology and this afternoon we explained about rope work and splicing. Meanwhile we enjoy the beautiful weather and just now a bird sat down on our railing. With no fear at all he landed at half a meter next to Cees who was sitting on a boulder. It appears to be a Noddy (Anous Stolidus) who is joining us for a bit.
