Transition

Update by Gerrit: “São Jorge and Faial. These two island of the Azores are a transition for me. We now started with the second part the voyage to the home port of the ‘Oosterschelde’ in Rotterdam. It was a nice break. Both islands are beautiful and it was great to have a look around. Lots of rain and therefore the island are very green and lush. We made trips to the Caldera, a volcano crater in the middle of the island and then to western point of the island to see the tracks of the last eruption. We also had two festive gatherings at Peters Café Sport (a must see): one to give Richard a day off and one to celebrate Maartens birthday. 
Also sailing wise the trip is a transition. Until São Jorge we had strong wind in our back and we arrived much earlier than expected. Now we are back at sea and there is little wind and we even have to go on engine. But the sun is shining again and we are making good speed.”
