St Kilda
6 August 2016
After the detour because of the target practice, we arrived in the bay of Hirta, St Kilda. We arrived later than planned, so we decided to have some bread and coffee before going on shore. This way everyone had enough energy to visit the island and could have a late dinner afterwards. While eating we told about the history of the island. Then everyone went on shore to experience themselves how the people on the island lived, very impressive!
When everyone had come back on board we had dinner, did the dishes and made the ship ready for departure again. We spend the night sailing to the Flannan Islands. We arrived around breakfast and we took our time to sail between the islands and to do some bird spotting and of course everyone had their own theory about the disappearance of the lighthouse keepers.
Then we set sail for a nice day of sailing to Stornoway where we will seek shelter from the bad weather that is expected for this weekend.
