Lovely voyage

After three weeks and 1998 nautical miles we arrived at Santa Cruz de Tenerife on November 17th. It has been a rather calm voyage: no gales or storms, no headwinds and the likes. The conditions were lovely, 0 to 5 Bft and almost always great sailing weather. The sealife was abundant: porpoises, several kinds of dolphins (bottlenose, common, Atlantic spotted), even a fin whale and a turtle close by. And many birds, although a number of them didn’t belong at sea.
Because of the extra time these winds brought us, we had time to visit Cascais, close to Lisbon, Portimão and the small island of Selvagem Grande, about 100 NM north of Tenerife. Here we stayed for 24 hours, enjoyed the quiet, reading a book, snorkeling around the ship, and the BBQ in the evening. A lovely voyage!
