Adjusting
29 April 2017
We are adjusting. After many weeks of mostly downwind, we are now faced with headwinds. And not only the wind, but also the waves, of course. The Florida Strait is like a funnel and the wind is stronger here. The current is going out, against the wind and therefore we have higher waves.
We are fighting our way out with reduced sails and support of the engine. If the temperature wasn’t 35 degrees and a humidity of almost 100% you would think we are on the North Sea. But everyone is happy and excited. We just caught a Mahi Mahi again for lunch and with a bit of luck we can steer a more comfortable course at the end of the day.
