The Tall Ships’ Festival in Charleston was great fun. We held open ship for a few days and the weather was lovely. We had a great turn-out during the festival. On Saturday and Sunday, we had an estimated two-thousand people on board. Many of them told us that we were the most beautiful ship there. Always nice to hear.
As you see on the picture, we left Charleston and now we’re sailing, racing, to Bermuda. We started off with a solid wind from the south, 4 Bft. When the evening fell, the wind declined and slowly turned east. There is a thunderstorm a little north of us. It seems to follow us, and it’ll provide us with some extra wind. Although we are currently sailing 10 degrees too northern, the wind should turn back south again later tonight, so we’ll be sailing in the right direction.
