Day trip and maintenance

Today, Sunday, we had a beautiful day trip out of Hellevoetsluis. A sunny sky, light wind and we sailed all day, what more can you ask for!
It was the last trip before the start of an intensive maintenance period that’s ahead of us. We arrived in Stellendam where we will first go in the dry dock. Next week we will return to Rotterdam to remove the masts and the standing rigging. The masts will return, after they have been checked, but all standing rigging will be renewed. The ship will also be sandblasted and painted. In total, we will be in maintenance for three months. After that the ship will be ready for many more years of sailing.
