Florøy

After we left Geiranger we had to go out to sea for a bit. In the morning they predicted very little wind so that was our window. After that we had all the time in the world to visit some nice places. First, we went to Måløy. We received a warm welcome from the harbour master, and everyone had time to go for a nice walk.

The next day we were hoping to spend the day sailing, but that wasn’t the case unfortunately. We still had a lovely day with views on the Hornelen and the many waterfalls. We wanted to go to Florøy, but suddenly there was wind and we could sail! So, we set the sails and turned the engine off. We sailed by Florøy and at the end of day returned on engine. It was Richards birthday, so we baked a cake and arranged gifts.

After Florøy we sailed further south to Søre Vågen. For today the forecast predicted a strong northern wind: finally! We enjoyed it to the fullest with a small rigging. After many jibes we sailed into the harbour of Bergen where we will spend our last night.
