Ramsgate

The last voyage of this summer is a trip with historians from Ramsgate to Flushing, with a stopover in Oostende. Just now, only crew sailed the ship over a wild North Sea to Ramsgate.

We were happy to finish our previous trip, from Hamburg to Rotterdam with a great day of sailing. It was 2 BFT and a southeastern wind. Soon after breakfast we hoisted all the sails! Everyone was well rested because the night before we sailed on the engine, so all the guests were sleeping during the night. It was a quite a spectacle, when we were sailing under full sail. Some people went on the dinghy, to make photos of the ship. Everyone was feeling great when sailing on the Nieuwe Waterweg.

Last Sunday we made a daytrip with 84 people on board. It was a fantastic sailing day! We set sail from Maassluis, with sun, 22 degrees Celsius and BFT 3. At sea, we hoisted the sails and performed some maneuvers. Time flies when you’re having fun, and before you know  we sail on the Maas again.
