Sometimes, if the weather cooperates and the guest crew is in for some adventure, we change our route a bit from the itinerary. This trip this was the case again and we went to Maio.

The island is geographically wise in between Sal and Boa Vista. But then without tourism. Empty, endless beaches and sand dunes. Sleepy villages with a pace that will make a lot of western people jealous (very slow!). And everyone seems happy. We love it here.
