A wonderful sailing day

After our first week at the sea, everybody is getting used to the rhythm of keeping watch. Meanwhile, everybody has a ritual at the meals or when drinking coffee. For example; one person goes to bed after breakfast and another person is ready to stand watch.

We still have wind from the Northeast. The showers that first passed us have now washed the ship that is now wonderfully fresh. When we are very quiet on board, we sometimes hear the ship purring like a cat.

Right now, we have a calm and deep blue ocean around us. We also have a clear blue sky, wind force 4 and a lot of sails out. It is a wonderful sailing day.

In a few days, we will arrive at our first short stop: the Azores. We will be able to go for a walk and we will buy fresh vegetables and fruit before we continue our voyage to Gibraltar.
