Wednesday, we arrived in Kirkwall. Kirkwall is on the mainland of the Orkney Islands. It is an island, but they still call it Mainland. After exploring Kirkwall we left this morning towards the Isle of Skye. The wind forecast is an eastern wind and 5 Bft perfect do get there under sail. We are currently sailing west of the Orkney Islands on a broad reach course.
