After years of searching we were able to find a beautiful trunk to replace the mainmast of the Helena. Mast maker Wim Mendelts wrote: “The tree has been sawn and brought over. What I expected: it’s gorgeous! I just counted the annual rings. 171 years old, so hatched in 1850. 25 years older than the Helena!”
