Embarkation

It was certainly cold when we left Rotterdam on December 8 with a south-westerly wind. This was the direction we wanted to go, so that was a pity. Using motorpower, we sailed towards Ramsgate, to prevent everyone on board from getting seasick in the North Sea. The forecasts, a solid front coming our way, were not so favourable, so letting everyone recover in Ramsgate seemed the best option. We couldn’t get off the OOSTERSCHELDE in Ramsgate without a PCR-test, so we decided to light the wood stove, watch a movie and play a quiz all together. Very good for the group dynamic on board!

We have left this morning and we are sailing through the English Channel in good spirits. It seems as if we can quickly set sail to continue our voyage.
