Downwind
This morning about 4am, we hoisted the anchor. It is still quite windy and the whole night we felt the gusts in the bay at Tarafal. Now, we are on our way and try to stay upwind as much as possible on the engine along the coast of Sao Nicolao before we start sailing.
Because of 7 bft windspeed, we add a reef in the sails. Here along the coast, there are strong gusts of wind, but hopefully further at sea this will be a bit less. According to predictions, the windspeed will remain like this and we wait and see what that will mean for the swell on our anchor spot at Boa Vista. But first we must get there, about 80 miles to go.
