2022 Friends Day

Last Sunday, we welcomed our shareholders for the annual meetings. After two years of ‘online’ contacts, we decided to make this day extra special! Also because we said goodbye to our chairman, Louis Kanters, who is stepping down after more than 10 years in our Board. Both ships were berthed next to each other in the Leuvehaven, Rotterdam, for a pleasant Friends Day, following upon our annual meetings.

Everyone who supported the ships over the past year(s) was invited on board. Mr Stewart McPherson, DARWIN200 Global Voyage projectleader, and Gerben Nab, our Managing Director, gave presentations about this extraordinary circumnavigation. Mr Erik Baetens unveiled his ship model of Tall Ship OOSTERSCHELDE, a beautiful, very detailed model, which he worked on for many years. While enjoying finger food and drinks, we could thank everyone for their support and toast on safe sailings!
