Kieler Woche
Now that the Kieler Woche is almost over, I can confidently say that it went well! We had a slow start, but eventually, we hit the gas! Sometimes, with two long sailing trips a day! The crew is wonderfully attuned to each other: we made mores sailing maneuvers than we do during our voyages.
Tall Ship OOSTERSCHELDE is known for thin sailing on the waters of the Kieler Förde. And we succeeded in doing it again this year. In between the day trips, we moved mountains of crates with drinks and finger food back and forth between ship and shore. Most of the time with the help of our fellow sailors from neighbor-ships. There was also plenty of fun, but not very long, because of the many evening trips we had.
All together, a large number of people were introduced to our fantastic Old Lady! As I write this, we are on our last evening trip. Tonight, we just have to perform a small miracle: remove all the caterer stuff and dirt from the ship, get rid of the buffet and prepare the ship for the new guests who will be joining us to Scheveningen!
