First Cape Verde trip

We have started the first round of our island-hopping trips in Cape Verde. The Oosterschelde and her crew have been spending the winter months in Cape Verde for many years. It really feels like coming home. Edson, our Cape Verdean colleague, will again be joining all the trips we make here this year.

After sailing the first day with a broad wind and rolling ship to Santiago, we are now on an upwind course with a ship pitching lightly in the waves on our way to São Vicente. We expect to arrive in Mindelo in the morning. That gives us the opportunity to explore Mindelo in the afternoon. Maybe we’ll discover something new.
