Preparing the Helena

Spring is still waiting, but on the ‘Helena’ we are confident that it will come soon and we are working hard.

All spars have been thoroughly checked again. This year we completely stripped the main boom, the mizzen stem and the mizzen clevis and varnished again. The blocks from the mizzen mast are all as good as new. The wooden deck roof had a number of bad parts and these are currently being replaced. It would help if the weather was a little better, but we hope to be ready for the sailing season in early May.
