Rain!

It rains! Very unusual in Cabo Verde, but it is raining here. That doesn’t happen very often, but it seems to be a little more common this year. The hills around us are covered with a green haze, even in August is seems to have rained here for a while. The humidity s now very high and that is why it is immediately very warm. You only have to move a little and you will be soaking wet with sweat.

But, it is doable under the sun (and now rain) tent. Today, we finish a few jobs and there is a crew change. The guests will arrive tomorrow and on Thursday morning, we will set sail for our voyage across the equator to Fernando de Noronha. First a relaxing evening, ‘no stress’, as is the motto here.
