Doldrums
The Doldrums held us in their grip for a long time, but now we’ve finally passed through. There’s a gentle breeze from the south-southeast, a harbinger of the southeast trade winds. The swell from the southeast indicated earlier that we were almost out of the Doldrums, and the clouds are confirming it now. The large cumulonimbus clouds with thunderstorms and showers have disappeared. On the horizon, you can now see the small cumulus clouds that are so characteristic of the trade winds. Today, we caught some fish again. Beautiful Mahi-Mahi with their stunning green and yellow colors. And we are being followed by a large magnificent frigatebird. It really couldn’t be better!
