Sailing to Puerto Madryn

The morning we left Punta del Este, the wind was blowing at force 5-6. So, as soon as the first sails where hoisted, we were making good speed! After leaving the coastal waters, we were met by a sturdy ocean swell. What a start of our voyage to Puerto Madryn!

The wind did ease off a bit during the night, and we were very lucky to spot a group of killer whales very close to the ship. One of them came up to breathe only one meter away from the aft deck! Furthermore, we saw penguins, sea lions and albatrosses. Let’s see what the rest of the week will bring in terms of wildlife, but the first days of this voyage have definitely been exciting.
