Chores

One half of the crew is busy with all kinds of chores on deck. As Matu in the picture, for example, is busy resealing a leaking window. The other half of the crew is trying to replenish supplies. The ship was nearly eaten empty (-; Meanwhile, we have hundreds of kilos of flour and wholemeal flour, pasta, canned tomatoes and so on on board again. And we are not done yet because the stock of soft drinks is also replenished with hundreds of trays of Coca Cola, Sprite, and Fanta.

We do all the shopping ourselves. Timo and Daan have hired a small car with which they drive from wholesaler to wholesaler, filling it up until the back of the car touches the street. Then they drive to the fishing port where everything has to be lifted into the dinghy via a ladder along the quay wall. Then we sail to the Oosterschelde where everything is lifted back on deck, then back into the saloon and then everything has to be stowed away under the floor.
