South Georgia

We have arrived at the island of South Georgia. After dropping anchor in the picturesque King Edward Cove, we disembarked and set out to explore the historic whaling station of Grytviken. There, we had the chance to meet various scientists and government officials. We also had the pleasure of seeing the famous king penguins (Aptenodytes patagonicus) up close. It was truly a breathtaking experience, where the island’s nature and history came together in perfect harmony.
