A lot of time
Being at sea can mean a lot of work on deck. But what if you have nothing to do with the sails? With all the tablets, phones and laptops, the easy choice is to just go and watch a film. But somehow the ocean encourages us to break away from the habits of home. How about spending an afternoon watching the waves? One day they are high behind the stern and the next day they are tiny and look so friendly. Watching the ocean is a bit like watching an open fire. Always different and yet always the same. On happy afternoons like today, we see playful dolphins in the waves we watch.
Time at sea is ideal for time consuming activities: reading, journaling, drawing, playing games or even writing a whole book. Spending time with the people around you also makes for long conversations about important topics, or just about nothing. Over the next few days, there will be a different speaker in the lounge every day. Any topic is welcome and we look forward to hearing about the different interests and expertise of our fellow travellers.
